Application of Supply Chain Performance Measurement in Scor Model at Building Project

The supply chain has become a priority subject of management research and manufacturing theory in recent years. It has also become an interesting topic in the construction industry. Construction supply chain management is more concerned with the coordination of discrete quantities of materials delivered to a specific construction project. Currently, in some building project, there has been no standard indicators in measuring the performance of the supply chain. Therefore, further research is needed to define the performance indicators there. One of supply chain performance measurement model is Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR). The SCOR model provides a unique framework that links performance metrics, processes, best practices, and people into a unified structure. The objective of the study is to define the application of SCOR in construction project. There are 11 Key Performance Indicator (KPI) on the SCOR model that could be used as an supply chain performance indicator in construction project. The research method of this study is by conducting a questionnaire to the project manager and material supplier to determine how the indicators are applied in building projects. The result of the study is the definition of each KPI at building project which facilitates understanding of construction stakeholders to measure the performance of the supply chain.

Analysis of Retrofit Building Behavior with Base Isolation System Using Nonlinear TIME History Analysis

Now, procedures of design for the earthquake resistance of buildings and non-building structures SNI 1726: 2012 has been approved the procedures for seismic design for buildings SNI 1726-2002. SNI 1726: 2012 refers to the development of modern seismic regulations are due to changes in tectonic plates located on the active track on the path of circum-Pacific and the Indian track - the Himalayas. With the enactment of the new SNI earthquake, namely SNI 1726: 2012, then all existing buildings and designed with old SNI earthquake, that is SNI - 1726-2002 should be evaluated against for the new regulations. Handling scheme for existing buildings should be made to determine and improve safety. Analysis and solutions are required to improve the safety of buildings. Retrofitting Seismic Isolation is one of the effective and practical methode to increase safety of buildings against earthquakes, because this methode can reduce the earthquake acceleration response. Retrofitting seismic isolation can not only improve the safety and functionality seismic, but also to maintain the original design. Without the need to demolish and rebuild the building, the building will remain intact. So that historic buildings and cultural heritage can still be preserved. The concept of base isolation is to decouple the upper structure from its foundation and inserting isolator which has a small horizontal stiffness. This techniques can reducing the seismic impact from the soil vibration which could be from seismic motion. This study will compare the ratio building safety for old structural design that uses SNI-1726-2002 (old) vs SNI 1726: 2012 (new). The results shows that retrofitting seismic isolation building have better performance in terms of ductility demand, natural period, and lower internal forces due to earthquake.

Deposition of Titanium Aluminium Nitride Thin Layer on High Speed Steel Substrate by Radio Frequency Sputtering

High Speed Steel (HSS) has been widely used in manufacturing industry as one of cutting tool materials because of its good mechanical properties yet with a low price. However, since this material has a low thermal resistance property, it will limit its application when used in dry cutting process. Several methods have been used to improve the cutting performance of HSS in dry cutting. One of them was by growing a thin layer of hard coating on the contact surface of the cutting tool material. In this research, Titanium Aluminium Nitride layer were deposited on AISI M41 High Speed Steel substrate by using Radio Frequency (RF) Sputtering method. The aims of this study were to analyze the effect of variations of Aluminium surface area ratios (10, 20, 30, and 40 %) on the Titanium target and also to analyze the effect of deposition time (15, 30, and 45 minutes) on the composition, phase characterization and morphology of the thin layer that formed. The formation of TiAlN and AlN crystalline compounds were observed by X-Ray Diffraction method. A dense layer with a thickness range from 1.4 to 5.2 µm was observed by using a Scanning Electron Microscopy. It was known that the deposition time affect the thickness and also the roughness of the layer. The topography images by Atomic Force Microscopy showed that the deposition time of 45 minutes produce the finest layer with the surface roughness of 10.8 nm.

Improvement Strategy of Porong Kanal Irrigation Network Performance in Delta Brantas Irrigation Area with Swot Analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats)

Delta Brantas Irrigation Area with total covering irrigated area 21,984 Ha, located entirely in Sidoarjo. Irrigation system performance in Delta Brantas Irrigation Area especially in Porong Kanal Primary Network tended to decline. So improvement strategy required in order to provide better irrigation services that fit the needs of the farming community. This problem can be studied by analyzing the existing condition, determining priority handling factors and a strategy for improving the irrigation network performance. From research results indicated that the degradation of the irrigation system performance in Delta Brantas Irrigation Area from 2012 to 2014 amounted to 3.66%. The priority handling factors that influencing the performance of Delta Brantas irrigation network are the condition of regulator structures, conditions of complementary structures, sewer condition, the completeness of operation and maintenance equipment, total personnel of operation and maintenance, personnel assignment of the operation and maintenance, legal status GP3A/P3A, institutional conditions of P3A, and P3A actively in search of irrigation networks, and P3A contribution to repair the irrigation networks. From SWOT analysis resulted a strategy position used to improve the performance of Porong Kanal Irrigation Network Delta Brantas Irrigation Area is turn-around strategy which minimizing the weaknesses to take advantage of opportunities.
