Pengaruh Suhu Pengukusan Terhadap Sifat Fisika Kimia Tepung Ikan Rucah

This research was aimed to determine the best steamed temperature and to determine the steamed effect on phsycochemical of trash fish. The research was conducted on June-July 2014 in fishery processing laboratory and fishery chemical laboratory Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science Riau University, and this research was conducted also in food laboratory Bogor Agriculture Institute. Trash fish was obtained from Tanjung Beringin Village, Rampah - North Sumatera. The metode used in this research was completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments of steamed temperature S1 (100 ºC), S2 (90 ºC) and S3 (80 ºC).The results showed that the treatment S3 (80 ºC) of steamed temperature was the best treatment with absorption 126.67, white degree 33.67, pH 6.41 and yield 16.90. Chemical characteristic for ash content 17.72 %, water content 7.51%, protein content 50.95%, fat content 7.70 % and crude fiber 4.22%.

Komposisi Jenis dan Kelimpahan Fitoplankton Perairan Laut Riau

This research was conducted in April 2013 and was located at Riau marine waters. Samples were analyzed in the Biology Laboratory of Marine Science Department of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The aim of this study was to observe the phytoplankton communities. This research used survey method. The study found 31 species of phytoplankton, these were 19 species from Bacillariophyceae, 9 species from Dinophyceae, 2 species from Chlorophyceae and 1 species from Cyanophyceae. Phytoplankton was dominated by group of Bacillariophyceae (Diatoms) 61%. The other groups comprising of Dinophyceae 29%, Chlorophyceae (7%), and Cyanophyceae 3%. Phytoplankton abundance varied from 87-593 ind/L, the higest value in station 9 Zone III and the lowest value in station 11 zone III. Whereas the highest value of zone abundance was zone II 443 ind/L and the lowest was zone I 253 ind/L. Phytoplankton community was dominated by the group of diatoms, such as Nitzschia sigma, Thallasiothrix longissima, and Thallasiothrix delicatula.

Pemberian Pakan Yang Difermentasikan Dengan Probiotik Untuk Pemeliharaan Ikan Lele Dumbo (Clarias Gariepinus) Pada Teknologi Bioflok Feed Fermented Using Probiotic for African Catfish in Biofloc Technology

This study aimed to determine the effect of feeding fermented with probiotic on, absolute body weight, absolute body length, specific growth rate, survival, feed efficiency and feed conversion rate of African catfish preserved biofloc techniques. The treatment in this study was the dose used for the fermentation of feed are 2 ml / kg (P1), 4 ml / kg (P2), 6 ml / kg (P3), and control (feed without fermented). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. 4-5 cm catfish were kept in the plastic tank with stocking density of 500 fish/m3 for 56 days. The fish are fed three times a day at satiation. The results showed fermented feed with probiotic on biofloc system affect absolute body weight, absolute length, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, and feed conversion rate of african catfish significantly, but did not affect survival rate. The best treatment was obtained from P3 which gives absolute body weight of 110.09 grams, absolute body length of 15.51 cm, specific growth rate of 8.03%, 92.62% survival rate, feed efficiency 117.22%, as well as feed conversion of 0.85.
