Pengaruh Tekanan Penyemprotan Pada Proses Sandblasting Terhadap Hasil Laju Korosi Recycled Aluminium

Sandblasting is a surface treatment method used to remove rust and contaminants such as oil and paint from a surface to change the characteristics of the surface, either to make it rougher or smoother. Sandblasting is spraying an abrasive material, usually silica sand or steel sand, at relatively high pressure onto a surface. This study aimed to determine the corrosion rate after sandblasting using various levels of spray pressure. The pressure variations used for spraying included 5 bar, 6 bar, 7 bar, and 8 bar. The spray pressure was varied in the sandblasting test, and a mesh size of 60-30 was used. The controlled variables used were a spray distance of 15 cm, a spray angle of 90 degrees, and a spray time of 20 seconds. Corrosion testing was carried out in a seawater environment. The results of this study indicate that the highest corrosion rate occurred at a spray pressure of 7 bar, which was 0.01023 mm/year, while the lowest corrosion rate occurred at a pressure of 5 bar, which was 0.00467 mm/year.

Sektor Pendingin dan Dampaknya pada Penurunan Emisi GRK di Indonesia

Sektor pendingin menghabiskan sebagian besar konsumsi energi final di Indonesia dan menyumbang emisi nasional yang besar. Pada saat yang sama, sektor pendingin diperkirakan akan tumbuh pesat seiring dengan pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk dan perekonomian Indonesia. Kebutuhan pendinginan harus dipenuhi melalui solusi yang terjangkau dan berkelanjutan untuk mengurangi ancaman pemanasan, hilangnya produktivitas, limbah makanan dan pertanian, serta rusaknya produk medis. Pada saat yang sama, kebutuhan ini harus dipenuhi dengan cara yang hemat energi dan ramah iklim. Emisi dari sektor pendingin dan pendingin udara mencapai 77 juta ton setara karbon dioksida (CO2e) pada tahun 2015, setara dengan 15 persen total emisi sektor energi. Berdasarkan komitmen nasional kontribusi tahun 2022, Indonesia telah berkomitmen untuk melakukan mitigasi perubahan iklim dengan rencana untuk mengurangi emisi pada tahun 2030 sebesar 31,89 persen tanpa syarat dan 43,20 persen dengan syarat. Rencana aksi di sektor pendingin di Indonesia memberikan perhitungan dampak emisi gas rumah kaca pada aplikasi tata udara bangunan, tata udara kendaraan dan rantai dingin berdasarkan metodologi yang diperkenalkan oleh National Cooling Action Plan. Untuk Indonesia, rencana aksi di sektor pendingin mempunyai potensi mitigasi sebesar 128 juta ton CO2e, atau pengurangan sebesar 55 persen dari kondisi biasa. Dari jumlah tersebut, emisi tidak langsung menyumbang 119 juta ton, atau pengurangan sebesar 51 persen sedangkan emisi langsung mencapai 9 juta ton, atau pengurangan sebesar 4 persen.

The current development of globalization has an impact on the increasing need for electrical energy consumption. For this reason, alternative energy sources are need. Solar energy is an alternative energy that can be used in the future. This research aims to produce the right combination of photovoltaic-based solar bottle lamps by means observe the intensity of light produced by solar bottle lamps and also determine the amount of power and efficiency produced with several tilt variations. The variation of the slope in question is 0°, 10°, 20° dan 30°. The bottle lamp consists of a 1,5L transparent plastic bottle and a 10 Wp poly crystalline solar panel. This research was conducted on the rooftop of the Mechanical Engineering building Hasanuddin University. The data collection process is carried out using Arduino Uno for data collection of voltage, current, and light intensity, and LabVIEW National Instrument for temperature data collection. Data retrieval is carried out 24 hours with an interval of 5 seconds for every 1 data. The result of this research is that a combination of solar bottle lights and solar cell-based LEDs has been made where the bottles used are 1.5L Coca-Cola bottles, 10Wp polycrystalline panels, 10A solar charge controllers, and 3W DC LED lights. The intensity of light that enters the room the most based on the results of the comparison of the ratio of light intensity to the sun is at a slope of 10˚, which is 0.0049 at 17.47Lux. The amount of electric power and efficiency obtained is at a slope of 30˚ which is 6.47W and efficiency is 9.17 %.

The performance of vehicle directional stability on both straight and curved roads is one of the crucial aspects considered in designing automotive products. An anti-lock braking system, better known as the Antilock Breaking System (ABS), has been developed on straight roads. However, on curved roads, the performance of this standard ABS could be better to overcome oversteer or understeer vehicle condi-tions. The less-than-optimal vehicle directional stability is caused by the magnitude of the braking force of each wheel being the same. In contrast, in curved conditions, each wheel's braking force re-quirements differ. One strategy to overcome this weakness is to control the proportion of braking force on each wheel. The study was conducted by translating the physical model of the system into a mathe-matical model, then simulated with a computer program. The braking force proportion control system model and the vehicle model were made completely and then integrated into the vehicle directional stability performance plant/system. The simulation results show that at a relatively high speed of 80 km/h, the braking system with braking force proportion controls the vehicle's directional stability is still quite good, while with standard ABS at speeds above 60 km/h, the vehicle condition tends to over-steer (difficult to control).

Pengaruh perubahan jarak sumbu eksentrik pipa annulus terhadap karakteristik aliran air

Piping systems with annulus pipes are widely used in water, oil, gas drilling, and heat exchangers. In connection with this, the purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of the annulus pipe friction factor (f) to the Reynolds number (Re) and the characteristics of the pressure drop (Δ𝑃) to the water flow discharge (Q) at each variation of changes in the distance of the eccentric axis of the annulus pipe (e). This research method is conducted experimentally at 3 levels of change in the value of e, namely 3 mm, 6 mm, and 9 mm, then each level of change in the value of e is treated with 5 levels of change in the same Q. Furthermore, pressure measurements were made at 4 tapping points around the pipe cross-section, at every one-meter length of pipe. The results showed that the lowest f value was 0.01509 with Q = 0.0034 m3/s at e = 9 mm, while the highest f value was 0.0617 with Q = 0.0012 m3/s at e = 3 mm. Another result is that the lowest Δ𝑃 value for a 1-meter long annulus pipe is 390.830 Pa with Q = 0.00128 m3/s at e = 9 mm, while the highest Δ𝑃 is 1433.044 Pa with Q = 0.00315 m3/s at e = 3 mm. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that changes in the value of e greatly affect the value of f and Δ𝑃 in the annulus pipe
